How the check works
Deflection-controlled capacity scales with panel stiffness (roughly the cube of panel depth) and falls with the fourth power of span. The calculator interpolates the published table for 38 mm panels, scales for your depth, then compares your applied load against the allowable value at the L/180 deflection limit — the limit most industrial walkway specifications use.
